Cheating in exams is not a new phenomenon for us. It has been in existence for over 100 years. Only the way of cheating has only changed. Today I am going to discuss if cheating in Exams is good or not. As everything has its own pros and cons so this cheating phenomenon also has its own pros and cons.

• It helps the weaker ones to pass the exams. You or your friend might be weak in particular subject. He / She might be thus able to pass the exam by cheating. 


• Our growing lifestyle has changed us a lot. It has increased competition for getting into a good college or job. Infact, it has increased competition for survival. So, if the weaker ones cheat and get themselves passed in exams, it will be useful for them. If they don't cheat, then their survival in competition will become tough.


• Many students have certain pressure from their parents. So, they have a fear that if they fail they would be punished hard by their parents, so they are forced to cheat in exams. 


• Cheating in exam is not a latest phenomenon. It has been in existence several years ago. 


• Group cheating helps you to discuss the answers that are not known by many and thus helps to distribute the amount to be studied.

No we should not cheat in Exams

• If you are caught cheating in exams then you may be given severe punishment. It could be minus marking to severe loss of a bright career. It may also result in spoiling up your own life.


• You don't deserve the mark that you get. Cheating does not make you the true bearer of the mark you score no matter how less you cheat. Cheating is cheating, it is not more or less.


• Cheating develops a sense of negative confidence in yourself. You would become confident of you passing the exam without even studying. This result in severe situation in higher level exams.


• When you cheat by asking others, you disturb others in the examination hall. They are also not able to concentrate because of you asking him/her answers.


• There is no guarantee the person telling you the answer is certainly right. He/She may even distract you by giving you a wrong answer.

• Cheating does not make you Honest. Today you are cheating at smaller level, tomorrow you will cheat you work and day after tomorrow you will cheat yourself, your family, or your nation.

Cheating in exams is not either too bad. I think you may cheat but it must be in controlled level. You must limit the cheating level to only 5 % of the total marks, i.e if Maximum marks is 100, you should limit to only 5 marks. Also never use papars with answer written on them. Never try to cheat in board exams or other exams where there is serious chances of getting suspended. Also don't disturb others in exam room.

Should we buy Chinese Products?

As you all know that China has emerged as the largest manufacturing market in the world. Almost all the electronics goods are manufactured in China. Even the largest MNC(Multinational Company) prefer to set up their plant in China. Why is it so? Should we buy Chinese goods?

Why most of the MNCs prefer to get their goods manufactured in China?

China has a communist government instead of Democracy. Thus Chinese government has taken over all the Industries under it which is called Socialist economy commonly called Socialism.  All the labours working under the Industries are directly or indirectly under the government. Due to huge population and strugle for living and high skilled labourers who are fast helps large MNCs to set up their plant in China. The Chinese government also supports this. Most of the work is done by people of China and a few is done by children studying in school. They get education and work at the same time. Infact China has the best of world class labourers who work at low cost. Thus MNCs prefer to set up their Manufacturing Industries mainly in China and surrounding areas because it is very cost effective.

Almost all the electronics goods that you buy are manufactured are from China. Ranging from a small transistor to a Large - scale machine, Everything is made in China. If you don't believe, check the back side of a branded Television or Computer or Tablet. What do you find?

 

Why Chinese Products are of low quality ?

Since a large scale production take place, i.e a large amount of goods is produced in limited time, so Chinese products are of low quality as the more the production the lesser the quality. Also some of them are manufacured by children at the age of schooling which further detoriates their quality.

 

Should we buy Chinese Products ?

I would first be somewhat affirmative on the buying of Chinese products :

1. Chinese products are generally of low cost since their manufacturing cost is low. Chinese made watches, phones and computers are of lower cost than those sold by big companies.
2. The big companies, which produce goods under big brand names, not neccessary get their goods manufactured in other countries. It is possible that they also get their goods manufactured in China itself and then sell it under big brand names.
3. Whenever a product, not necessarily chinese, is malfuctioning we simply exclaim " Its is Chinese so it is not working properly ". It is not necessary that the product is malfunctioning because it was not built properly, It could be that you were not able to properly use it that resulted in its malfunctioning. And it was atleast build by the Chinese and you were non-chinese so you not even able to repair it!

Now I discuss some of the negatives of buying Chinese goods : 

• There is no guarantee on how long the product will last. It can be defective as soon as you buy it. Shopkeepers too don't put warranty on Chinese products.
• As Chinese toys, phones, tablet etc. are of low cost, and partly due to liberalization, the local markets are not able to compete and forced to sell their quality products at exobirant prices.
• The only country that gets benefitted is China itself. The buyers of other country suffer due to low quality of these products.

It all depends on on how carefully you use a product, if you use it very carefully then it is good for you to buy the Chinese products as you will be able to make it run long, but if you can't handle a product properly you should go for non-chinese products. Also while buying Chinese goods remember to check if the product collapses the local market or not. If it does don't buy those products at all.

Show off - How people Show off ?

"Show off", I have experimented with this word so much that I think I can write a whole thesis on it but still can't decide what does it mean. You all reading this post know what Showing off mean. Today I am going to discuss some of the way in which people show off and proper solutions to them.

Unnecessary buying

No worry if AC will not be turned on throughout the year, it must be hanging on the wall of Drawing room. You have hired a Maid by paying him/her high but you still want to buy a Dish Washer.

Still I can't figure out why it is necessary to buy all the modern computers and gadgets if you just want to ultimately play games and waste time in messaging. This problem is very common among youths. They persuade their parents to buy them modern mobile phones and tablets just to show off in front of their friends. They don't know that the fun is just for 2 minutes and then the device is left forgotten for months. Specially the youths put on hair cream to designtheir hairs to impress girls. Some of them even do stunts on Bikes to impress others. This proves to be sometimes harmful. Some of them take alcoholic drinks to prove themselves unnecessarily.

Women are more suffering from "showing off". They will buy all kinds of face cream and cosmetics that challenges to make them fairer.

Facebook built by Mark Zuckerberg is one of the most powerful tool in world but people generally use it for showing off. They upload unnecessary pics to gain popularity. Nowadays Facebook apps help them to show off more. They post on their behalf such pics that are indirectly boastful.

Indirectly showing off

Sometimes people behave as if they are proud of doing something wrong. For example, a child can purposely fall on the ground and get injured to show his friends that how well he played and got injured even if he won't have kicked the soccer ball once.

Some people are hell good at boasting. They distract others attention one way or the other to them to get their attention on something that could be used to show off. For example, Some ladies when wearing expensive jewellery in parties are not getting attention from others, they try to attract other by talking about jewellery to get others  attention on her.

Unnecessary showing off skills even if you don't have

I have observed many people show off about their excellence in one field. They try to make others jealous of that skill they don't have. For example, it is common to observe a musician show off his/her skill of being good at music.

Some people, mostly youth, generally boast about a skill or their power even if they are not capable of. For example, one of my friend aged 13 bets to drive a bike, car and bus but when it comes to practical life he even don't know to balance a cycle. Some people boast

Frankly speaking I too show off a lot and observed that there is absolutely no results of showing off. It is unnecessary waste of time. The fun is only for few minutes to hour. For that you hurt yourself as well as force others to do the same thing as you do. Be frank to yourself. What you really have, that is useful, is worth more than boasting about what you don't have.

Skills of a good citizen

Really Indian citizen don't know the art of discipline and peaceful living, they have learned to be quarrelsome and annoying. I should thereby discuss some way to be a good citizen.

Maintain cleanliness

 

Ever wondered why our surrounding is dirtier than other western society. Really, Is this because the Municipal Corporation is insensitive and corrupt ? Or is this because of our carelessness. When was the last time you picked up and threw a wrapper in a dustbin instead of throwing it outside the car or bus or street ? Infact, Cleanliness is a sign of good society and one who maintain cleanliness dedicates a lot to society. Never throw any type of Garbage whether Biodegradable or Non-Biodegradable in the dustbin itself. If there is no dustbin nearby, have patience, walk or drive a little, you will surely get a dustbin.

Peeing on the street walls is another PECULIAR habit that most people have. Don't they have a toilet at home or can't control their bladder till they reach home. This is very particular to India. Stop this Habit today if you have. Spitting Tobacco in Public or in Social area is also bad. First of all Tobacco causes Cancer, so stop its use, if otherwise you chew, never spit it in Public areas.

Protect Public Property

Statues, Street Light, Roads, Railways, Public Grounds, Parks etc. are all property of Government, and our government is so corrupt, then why we should maintain Public Property? There is a very simple answer to this. Do you know where the money come from ? It is because of you paying taxes to the government. So one way or the other all the Public Property belongs to you and all. Do you cause damages to your Home furniture or car or AC? Then why to cause damage to Public Property if you know they belong to you.

Never cause damages to Public Property, always maintain the roads and other Public Property. Railway is a important and most valuable property. Never cause damages to railways like unnecessary pulling the chain, breaking glass or damaging seats.

Always be up-to-dated on what is going on in the country

You must not be only limited to yourself and family or friends, you must be aware of everything going on in the nation and also the world. Thus you would be able to know about any change in Government Policy and administrative system.

Many people don't go to vote for their favorites leaders and later on blame the government for being so oppressive. I know the political system of India is too instable, but it is not the time to regret but to fight and come out. Participate in all kind of census and governmental programs. Be a part of this nation's development.

Be Brave and Honest

Be brave. Don't just be one of three Gandhiji's ape, Have courage to fight against the sins of society. Have the Power to distinguish between what is right and what is wrong.

Many people only blame the government for corruption. Take a look at yourself in the mirror and ask yourself, How much are you corrupted? Are you really honest to yourself? Many will get the answer, NO. Be honest to your work and never cheat other. Try to end out corruption, bribery and scam hidden in yourself. If you would be Honest then the country will be Honest too.

Follow all the constitutional and civil law

Our constitution is the second best constitution of the world after that of South Africa. Go to a library, take a summary of our Constitution and read the Fundamental duties, rights and basic civil law in it. You will definitely find thousands of key law that you don't follow. If you can't follow so many law atleast follow the fundamental duties. Some of the Fundamental duties are :

• To respect the National symbols like the Tricolor Flag, Anthem and Emblem.
• To cherish and follow the noble ideals which inspired our national struggle for freedom.
• To uphold and protect the sovereignty, unity and integrity of India.
• To defend the country and render national service when called upon to do so.
• To promote harmony and the spirit of common brotherhood amongst all the people of India transcending religious, linguistic and regional or sectional diversities; to renounce practices derogatory of women.
• To value and preserve the rich heritage of our composite culture.
• To protect and improve the natural environment including forests, lakes, rivers, wildlife and to have compassion for living creatures. (very important).
• To develop the scientific temper, humanism and the spirit of inquiry and reform.
• To safeguard Public Property and to abjure violence.
• To strive towards excellence in all spheres of individual and collective activity so that nation constantly rises to higher levels of endeavor and achievement.

You might be thinking whatever I wrote is just good for speech but not applicable in Practical life. Of course it is applicable, strive to apply that all to your everyday life. Students, please don't limit this to your assignment, you are also a important part of this nation.

While doing so, you might come to a stage when you realize that others are not like you, they don't follow these rules, they why should I follow ? Don't bother them. Just you be good yourself. One day they will also realize the spirit of being a good citizen. Also , this might be because that they are jealous of you. When you follow these rules of being a good citizen , you would face a lot of resistivity particularly from your family.  Just do one good job, no one will appropriate you but everyone will criticize you. There are some rules that we follow not naturally but because of strict rules such as wearing a helmet or seat belt while driving or following common traffic rules. This is because the administrative system has imposed these rules for us. Then why can't you follow these rules yourself even without strict rules. Is it required to end democracy and start up autocracy to establish these rules ? Think about it in spare time.
